New App Blocks TV Spoilers On Twitter, Facebook

A new free app available on Apple's App store claims to block spoilers from more than 30 shows from showing up on your Twitter and Facebook feeds.

The problem of spoilers on social media has become more of an issue as TV viewers increasingly time-shift their viewing habits. The "Spoiler Shield" app protects viewers of more than 30 popular shows, as well as fans of the NFL and Major League Baseball.

Users of the app see a shield over spoiler posts and can doubleclick the warning to see the post.

A version of the app for Android users is expected to be released in October.
