NBC News Launches Free 'NBC News Now' Streaming Service

NBC News has officially launched NBC News Now, its streaming video news service.

The free, ad-supported streaming service will provide eight hours of programming, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. ET. It plans to be expand to 24/7 by the end of 2019.

Like the CBS-owned streaming news channel CBSN, NBC News Now won't include entire shows from NBC, MSNBC and CNBC. Instead, NBC News reporters and anchors will contribute original pieces, supplemented with packages from the Comcast-owned Sky News and Euronews. The focus of the programming will be on headlines, including live reports, explainers and feature stories from NBC News and its partners, as well as selected excerpts from the NBCU cable news channels. That programming will include segments from "NBC Nightly News," "TODAY," "Meet the Press," "Morning Joe" and "The Rachel Maddow Show."

At launch, NBC News Now is available on NBCNews.com and within the NBC News apps on mobile devices and connected TV platforms, like Roku and Fire TV.
