'The Voice' Singer Trevin Hunte Raising Money For Debut Album

Trevin Hunte
If you saw the third season of NBC’s hit show ‘The Voice,’ then you will definitely remember Trevin Hunte from Team Christina. The smooth R&B vocalist conjured Luther Vandross comparisons, which is fitting since the legend is a major influence on Hunte’s sound. Now that Hunte has earned mainstream media attention, he’s ready to record his debut album.

Partnering with his new legion of fans to make his album release a reality, Hunte is offering several exciting exclusives along with a sneak peak of the music. Even more, his on-screen platform against bullying has carried over to his campaign, in which each Pledge will help support the National Bullying Prevention Center.

Trevin Hunte was a fan favorite on season three of "The Voice," as the Luther Vandross-inspired teen sang his way onto Cee Lo Green's team.

Hunte is now working on a new album and is raising money for the effort on the crowdfunding platform Pledge Music. Here is his project description:

I am Trevin Hunte, the shy 18-year old from Queens, NY, who was told by many that I would never become anything. Confidence has always been something I have struggled with growing up. It was not until my experience on Season 3 of NBC’s “The Voice” that I learned to embrace my gift of singing. I found my own voice.

As a kid I would steal my mothers brush at sing at the top of my lungs in my bedroom, mostly to annoy the crap out of my mother at the time! The first song I ever heard on the radio was Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.” Since then she has always been my idol and true inspiration.

For the future, I hope to become a household name and dream of having a career like John Legend, or even Adele. I hope to do this by creating timeless music that can appeal to everyone. Music has always been my first love and as I grow older, each and everyday I realize I cannot live without it.

Being on one the most watched TV talent show competitions was definitely nerv-racking and at times very overwhelming. But I am glad I found the courage to rise to the occasion and overcome my fear of being rejected. Because of the show and all of my fans, I have become a better performer, a better artist and most of all, a better person.

I am now ready to start recording and making music for you, the fans. What I love about PledgeMusic is that you all can come on the journey with me. We can make music together. I will be updating everyone constantly on my recording process and letting the fans be involved in very special ways.

Pledge will allow me to make the music I want to make. Thank you and God Bless for helping me.
