'60 Minutes' Twitter Account Hijacked, Tweets Anti-Obama Link

Twitter accounts belong to the CBS newsmagazine "60 Minutes" and the CBS affiliate in Denver appear to have been hijacked Saturday afternoon.

The "60 Minutes" account tweeted a link to an article posted on the Lyndon Larouche political action committee web site which claims that President Obama is colluding with al-Quaeda to overthrow the Assad regime in Syria:

But Obama is unabashed. He runs around claiming that he killed Osama bin Laden and defeated al-Qaeda when, in fact, he has joined forces with al-Qaeda in country after country—always with the same disastrous consequences for the targeted countries, as well as for the United States.

The twitter account for CBS Denver tweeted two Syria-related links. The first points to a piece arguing the CIA armed al-Qaeda terrorists in Syria and the second claims NATO provided WMDs to al-Qaeda for a false flag operation in Syria.

UPDATE: Within minutes, the Twitter account for "60 Minutes" tweeted this message:

"PLEASE NOTE: Our Twitter account was compromised earlier today. We are working with Twitter to resolve."

The tweet about Syria and President Obama has been deleted.



UPDATE #2: The twitter hijacking also affected the account for the newsmagazine "48 Hours."

The @CBSNews Twitter account later tweeted this message:

"We have experienced problems on Twitter accounts of #60Minutes & @48Hours; We apologize for the inconvenience; Twitter is resolving issues"
