'The Middle' Gets Hindi Adaptation

Indian comedy channel BIG Magic is set to premiere a Hindi version of the American comedy THE MIDDLE.

Entitled TEDI MEDI FAMILY, the 24-episode season will be set in a household in Pune and like the American version, will be a single-camera comedy that follows the daily challenges of raising a family. The series stars Saloni Daini, Ami Trivedi and Iqbal Azad together with Sushant Mohindra and Dharmik Joisar. It is being produced by Bodhi Tree Productions.

"The consistently amusing and relatable scripts for The Middle are a perfect fit with our channel’s vision," said Ashwin Padmanabhan, the executive VP and business head of Reliance Broadcast Network, in a statement announcing the show.The characters of a mother, father and three children and their universal journey to just succeed with everyday life means that The Middle has fantastic potential to be recreated for an Indian audience."

TEDI MEDI FAMILY will premiere on BIG Magic on Monday, June 8th, 2015.
