'Family Guy' Trolls The Internet By Killing Off A Talking Dog (With Video)

Seth McFarlane seems to have a good handle on what it takes to get fans all worked up. Which may explain why he and the producers of Fox's "Family Guy" made the decision to kill off (maybe) the show's not-so-lovable talking dog, Brian.

In an episode that aired on Sunday, Brian was killed off from injuries following a car accident and Stewie was unable to repair his time machine quickly enough to save him.

The move inspired a torrent of tweets proclaiming outrage over the move, many of them using the hashtag #BringBackBrian.

The amazing thing about the hashtag is that, in a movie worthy of a time machine, some tweets using the hashtag popped up even before the episode aired the death.

I'm sure that was just the result of a few viewers lucky guess and not any effort to game the night's social media reaction (cough).
