'Meet The Press With Chuck Todd Is The #1 Most-Watched Sunday Show Across The Board

“Meet the Press with Chuck Todd” (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board this past Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016.

With 4.018 million viewers, MTP delivered the best total viewer audience out of all Sunday public affairs programs since March 6, 2016. The show held a +11 percent advantage over ABC’s “This Week” and +5 percent over CBS’ “Face the Nation,” which only rates for 30 minutes of its hour-long broadcast. This marks the biggest total viewer win against CBS in seven months.

The network broadcast grew 71 percent compared to the same Sunday last year: 4.018 million vs. 2.836 million last year.

MTP delivered 1.417 million A25-54 viewers, posting its best key demo audience in more than four years (since January 8, 2012). The program beat ABC by +30 percent and CBS by +37 percent, marking its biggest win against CBS since August 12, 2012.

MTP continued its dominance in the influential Washington, D.C. market, posting its biggest total viewer average since May 1 of this year and its best key demo average since Jan. 24 of this year. MTP has now won every Sunday in total viewers for the past 70 consecutive broadcasts in the market.

An additional 1.132 million total viewers and 264,000 A25-54 viewers watched the program through a rebroadcast on MSNBC.

Sunday’s program featured an interview with Trump adviser Rudy Giuliani and exclusive interviews with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah).
