'The Big Bang Theory' Delivers Its Most-Watched Season Finale


"The Big Bang Theory" ended its seventh season with its most-watched finale ever while posting dramatic week-to-week increases in viewers and adults 18-49, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Thursday, May 15.
 
The seventh season finale of "The Big Bang Theory"  was first in viewers (16.29m), adults 25-54 (6.2/20) and adults 18-49 (4.8/18). Compared to last week, "The Big Bang Theory"  was up +26% in adults 18-49 (from 3.8/13) and added +1.87m in viewers (from 14.42m, +13%). Compared to the season six finale on the same night last year, "The Big Bang Theory"  was up  +3% in adults 25-54 (from 6.0/19), even in adults 18-49 (from 4.8/17) and added +810,000 viewers (from 15.48m, +5%). "The Big Bang Theory"  posted its largest-ever audience for a season finale.

At 8:30 PM, "The Millers" season one finale was first in viewers (9.88m), adults 25-54 (3.4/10) and adults 18-49 (2.4/08).  Compared to last week, "The Millers" was up, +21% in adults 25-54 (from 2.8/08), +26% in adults 18-49 (from 1.9/06) and added +920,000 viewers (from 8.96m, +10%). "The Millers" posted its largest audience and best adults 18-49 rating since April 24.
 
"Bad Teacher" (5.53m) averaged 1.4/04 in adults 18-49 and 2.0/05 in adults 25-54. Compared to last week, it was up +8% in adults 18-49 (from 1.3/04) and +5% in adults 25-54 (from 1.9/05). 

At 10 PM, the second season finale of "Elementary" was first in viewers (7.34m), adults 25-54 (2.1/06) and adults 18-49 (1.4/05).
 
For the night, CBS was first in viewers (8.99m), adults 25-54 (3.0/09) and adults 18-49 (2.2/07).  CBS was first in these measures for the ninth consecutive Thursday with regularly scheduled programming.
