'Sesame Street' Launches Subscription-Based Streaming Video Service

Sesame Workshop has just launched "Sesame Go," a new ad-free streaming service that offers a wide range of full-length episodes of "Sesame Street."

The subscription service costs $3.99 a month or $29.99 a year and is currently only available in the U.S.

The site offers the latest episode of "Sesame Street" for immediate viewing, as well as hundreds of full-length episodes from previous seasons. Also available for viewing are seasons one and two of "Pinky Dinky Doo," which was produced by Sesame Workshop and Cartoon Pizza.

"Sesame Street" is already a online staple for kids. The show's YouTube channel garnered more than one billion views in 2013 and limited episodes of the show are available on Hulu, Netflix and Amazon. Those deals might explain why Sesame Go is a web-only service, with no app available for boxes such as Roku or Apple TV.
