'The Hunt With John Walsh' Fugitive Paul Jackson Arrested In Mexico

Fugitive Paul Jackson, who was featured on CNN's THE HUNT WITH JOHN WALSH, has been arrested in Guadalajara, Mexico by Mexican Immigration authorities with close assistance by the U.S. Marshals Service.

According to Deputy Eric Wahlstrom of the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force, the episode played a "significant role" in his capture after a tip came in following the episode airing.

Jackson was indicted for rape and kidnapping following a Washington County grand jury that concluded on June 30, 1990.  Jackson and his half-brother Vance Roberts were arrested for kidnapping and sexually torturing two prostitutes in Portland, Oregon, but the two men fled before trial.  Though Roberts surrendered to police in 2006 and was sentenced to 108 years in prison, Jackson remained on the run for nearly 25 years.
