Too Much TV: Your TV Talking Points For Wednesday, July 3rd, 2019

Here's everything you need to know about the world of television for Wednesday, July 3rd, 2019. I'm writing this from the Twin Cities, where AllYourScreens HQ is running on McDonald's iced tea and the smell of forbidden apple pies.

THE FALL 2019 BROADCAST TV SCHEDULE IS OFFICIAL...MOSTLY
ABC announced its fall primetime schedule on Tuesday, making it the last of the big five broadcast television networks to weigh in. Not a lot of surprises since the network is only adding three new shows to its schedule in September.  But if you want to know what to expect in the fall from ABC and the other networks, click here to see our list of more than 400 upcoming television premieres, movies and finales. You'll find listings from more than 70 networks, as well as streaming services and web shows.

And if you're a glutton for punishment (or just want to know what you've missed), check out this list of all the shows that have premiered so far in 2019.

'CASH CAB' IS COMING BACK-BIGGER AND DUMBER
Apparently you can't kill the trivia game in a cab series "Cash Cab." Bravo announced on Wednesday that it is bringing back the show (which most recently aired on Discovery) with comedian Ben Bailey returning as host. The network promises bigger prizes and a more "pop culture-friendly" collection of questions. The only thing missing is the chance to make a phone-a-friend call to a  "Bravolebrity."

WHAT'S NEW ON TV TONIGHT:

It's a pretty light premiere schedule for Wednesday and two of the three are from Netflix:

1) CMT Hometown Heroes (CMT)
CMT and Ram Trucks team up to send country storytellers Chris Stapleton, Darius Rucker and Brett Eldredge back to their hometowns to give back and perform for their very own hometown heroes. The special features exclusive performances, in-depth interviews and an intimate look into the people and places that shaped each performer from a young age.

2) The Last Czars (Netflix)
Robert Jack, Susanne Herbert and Ben Cartwright star in this docuseries set in early 20th Century Russia, where Czar Nicholas II resists change, sparking a revolution and changing history.

3) Yummy Mummies (Netflix)
It's the season two premiere of this Australian docuseries that follows four young mothers-to-be in Australia who have good looks and live lavish lifestyles. The series visits with them throughout their pregnancies, as they delve into a chaotic new reality with newborn babies. The ladies want to welcome their little ones into the world in the luxurious way that they're used to living. Along those lines, their preparations include bouquets of money, horse-drawn carriages and opulent baby showers. The spending of the "yummy mummies" knows no bounds.

NEW ON THURSDAY:
A Review Of Season Three Of Netflix's 'Stranger Things'
I'm holding my review until the show premieres Thursday because Netflix had such a long and complicated list of restrictions limiting what I could include in any preview that I was pretty much left with "hey, stuff is going on - look at those kids go!" But the short and non-specific review is that while they probably could have dropped an episode or two in the middle of the season and not missed much, if you enjoyed the first two seasons, you'll probably really enjoy season three.

In the meantime, check out this photo gallery of behind-the-scenes images from the new season.
