Verizon customers next month will be able to receive a free 12-month subscription to the streaming service Disney+, the companies announced Tuesday.
Disney+, is set to launch on November 12th and will be available to all of Verizon’s unlimited wireless and Fios home internet customers.
"We’re excited to share this moment with Verizon and bring Disney+ to the millions of customers across its award-winning wireless network," Kevin Mayer, Disney’s chairman of direct-to-consumer and international, added in a statement.
Disney+ is set to launch with a substantial number of familiar properties, ranging from well-known Disney characters to Star Wars and films from the Marvel Universe. The company also says it plans to release over 25 original series and 10 original films and documentaries in its first year of streaming.
