Amazon Acquires First-Run Streaming Rights to Steven Soderbergh's 'Logan Lucky'

Amazon has made a deal with Steven Soderbergh making his upcoming movie "Logan Lucky" available to Prime Video customers during its first-run U.S. streaming window.

The movie centers around the chronically unlucky Logan family, Jimmy, (Channing Tatum) Mellie (Riley Keough) and Clyde Logan (Adam Driver), that set out to execute an elaborate robbery during the legendary Coca-Cola 600 race at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina during Memorial Day weekend.

Written by Rebecca Blunt, the film also stars Daniel Craig, Seth MacFarlane, Katie Holmes, Hilary Swank, Katherine Waterston, Sebastian Stan, and Jesco White. It's scheduled to hit movie theaters on August 18th, 2017.

As part of this deal, Amazon also signed an exclusive two-year first-look deal for theatrical film projects from Fingerprint Releasing, the film distributor formed by Soderbergh and piloted by Dan Fellman.
