20/20 Airs 'The Sniper's Wife' On Friday, May 1

ABC News anchor Robin Roberts speaks exclusively to Taya Kyle, widow of decorated U.S. Navy Seal Chris Kyle, whose life and military career was portrayed in the Academy Award-nominated film American Sniper released earlier this year, and based on his #1 bestselling memoir.  The one-hour “20/20” special will air Friday, May 1 at 10pm ET on ABC. In February 2013 after serving four tours in the Iraq War, Chris was tragically killed while attempting to help a disturbed veteran.  Kyle opens up to Roberts for the first time about the moment she told her children about her husband’s unexpected death, being married to an American hero and how she and her family are coping after their loss.

Taya’s journey of faith, love and strength in the face of unconceivable loss will air on “Good Morning America” and “20/20” on Friday, May 1. Taya Kyle will be live on “Good Morning America” on Monday, May 4th with additional portions airing on “World News Tonight with David Muir,” “Nightline,” ABC News.com, and GoodMorningAmerica.com on Yahoo!
