Nick Jr. Boost To Shut Down In December

Nickelodeon's subscription-based preschool learning web site Nick Jr. Boost is shutting down December 12, 2013.,

This is the note that many subscribers received on Thursday, informing them of the decision:

Dear Boost Monthly Subscriber:    

Thank you for subscribing to Nick Jr.Boost, Nickelodeon's premium online learning program for preschoolers.
Nick Jr. is dedicated to delivering on the promise of being the Smart Place to Play. From playing interactive math games with Team Umizoomi to learning Spanish words with Dora, we're committed to providing preschoolers with entertaining, curriculum-rich content tailored to their ages and stages of development.

In order to further strengthen our offerings at NickJr.com, we will be shutting down Nick Jr. Boost as of December 12, 2013. As a thank you to our members, Nick Jr. Boost will be free to monthly subscribers through the December 12, 2013. And, as always, your preschooler can continue to enjoy the fun, free, educational games at NickJr.com.

Nick Jr. Boost was a web site that used Nick-branded games featuring characters such as Dora, The Wonder Pets and The Backyardigans to teach basic math, reading and reasoning skills. The monthly subscription price was $7.99, though quarterly and annual subscriptions were a bit less per month.
