Synopsis: Carla Gugino ("Spy Kids") stars as a smart, tenacious United States marshal on Miami's Gold Coast in ABC's new action-filled drama, "Karen Sisco." As she pursues dangerous fugitives from the law, Karen must navigate her way from the dark underbelly of South Beach nightlife to the sunshine and glitz of Palm Beach highlife, all while struggling to win the respect of her fellow officers.

Adapted from the critically acclaimed feature film "Out of Sight," which starred Jennifer Lopez and George Clooney, based on characters created by best-selling mystery writer Elmore Leonard, "Karen Sisco" also stars Academy Award nominee Robert Forster ("Jackie Brown") and award-wining actor/director Bill Duke ("Red Dragon").

Federal Marshal Karen Sisco (Gugino) grew up in law enforcement. Her father, Marshall Sisco (Forster), a semi-retired private investigator, had hoped she would steer clear of a dangerous career and settle down with someone safe, like a doctor or a lawyer. But it seems the feisty young woman is destined to follow in her father's law enforcement footsteps. The elder Sisco knows that his daughter faces the daunting task of living up to his reputation and, equally challenging, separating her dangerous career from her precarious love life.

Seasoned Federal Marshal Amos Andrews (Duke) is Sisco's boss. He, too, looks out for Sisco and, unlike most of her predominantly male colleagues, Andrews is not afraid to throw a challenge her way.

Infused with off-beat characters, menacing situations, unpredictable plot twists and unexpected romance, "Karen Sisco" delivers a compelling and dramatic look into the life of a young woman in pursuit of personal and professional success in her exceedingly complicated and frequently dangerous world.
