Synopsis: Put together one very
run-down house, a deserving family, six opinionated designers, seven days
and what do you get? The answer is -- an "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."
Each week's episode is self-contained and features a race against time
on a project that would ordinarily take four months to achieve, involving
a team of designers and 100 workmen who have just seven days to totally
renovate an entire house - every single room, plus the exterior and landscaping.
Team leader Ty Pennington, the carpenter from TLC's "Trading Spaces,"
along with five other designers, will give an unsuspecting family their
surprise early morning wake-up call. The lives of the lucky families will
be forever changed when they learn that they have been selected to have
their home walls moved, their floors replaced and even their fa?ades radically
changed. The result should be a decorator's delightÉ if it can be done
in time.
Along with Ty Pennington, the other members of the design team who will
work their creative magic on the homes are Paul DiMeo, Tracy Hutson, Michael
Moloney, Constance Ramos and Preston Sharp. To get the job done, they're
going to have to cooperate with each other -- a hard thing to do when
they don't always even like each other. Tensions flare as tastes are disputed
and the deadline approachesÉ can they get the job done?
