NBC has announced a seven-episode pickup for a new sitcom by David Gary Goldberg (Family Ties, Spin City). This midseason show was co-created by supervising producer Chris Henchy and comes from Dreamworks Television.

Battery Park is a comedic look at police officers from all walks of life working together in NY's Battery Park.

Led by the ultra-competitive and hard-nosed Captain Madeline Dunleavy (Elizabeth Perkins) and head detective Ben (Justin Lewis, from Trinity), the squad also features Jacqueline Obradors, Frank Grillo, (Guiding Light), Bokeem Woodbine, Robert Mailhouse (Sports Night), Jay Paulson, Wendy Moniz (Tuesdays With Morrie, Guiding Light) and Samm Lloyd (The West Wing, The Drew Carey Show).
