| Synopsis: AMERICAN HIGH, the provocative
new half-hour, non-fiction drama series from Academy Award-nominated filmmaker
R.J. Cutler ("The War Room," "A Perfect Candidate"), will premiere with
back-to-back episodes Wednesday, Aug. 2 (9:00-9:30 and 9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT)
on FOX. The network will run back-to-back episodes of the series on Wednesdays.
Set against the backdrop of a suburban Chicago high school, AMERICAN
HIGH follows the lives of a group of real students as they deal with
real-life conflicts -- both at home and at school -- during the 1999-2000
school year. The series is an unprecedented exploration of these students'
world as they enjoy some of the best times and face some of the toughest
decisions and harshest realizations of their young lives with both candor
and humor.

These aren't actors. The situations aren't contrived. This isn't scripted.
You can't make this stuff up. From the first day of senior year through
graduation, AMERICAN HIGH is culled from ten months of footage shot
by Cutler and his production team. Also featured in the show are "video
diaries" shot by the students themselves.
This unique combination of professional footage and student-shot video
provides a window into what it's like to be a teenager growing up in
America today.

R.J. Cutler, Erwin More, Brian Medavoy and Cheryl Stanley serve as
executive producers of AMERICAN HIGH, which is produced by Actual Reality
Pictures in association with 20th Century Fox Television.
