'Face The Nation' Finishes First In Adults 25-54 On July 6

CBS News’ FACE THE NATION posted a 1.8/05 with 2.38m viewers, 0.5/03 in adults 25-54 – the demographic most important to those who advertise in news – according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for July 6. Editor’s Note: FACE THE NATION’s second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 67% of the CBS affiliates.
FACE THE NATION was tied for first in adults 25-54 among the Sunday morning public affairs programs.
Television year-to-date, FACE THE NATION is first in viewers (3.18m) and tied for first in adults 25-54 (0.7/04). Compared to last year, FACE THE NATION is up +1% in viewers (3.18m from 3.15m).
The July 6 broadcast of FACE THE NATION kicked off with updates on the Middle East from CBS News correspondents Charlie D’Agata in Baghdad and Alex Ortiz in Tel Aviv. Host Bob Schieffer then spoke with Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) and Majority Whip Sen. Richard Durbin (D-IL.) The second half of the show featured a book panel that included Lee Child, author of Personal; Jeffery Deaver, author of The Skin Collector; David Ignatius, author of The Director; Sandra Brown, author of Mean Streak; and Karin Slaughter, author of Cop Town.
