Biography:
Fox Sports Network anchor and reporter Kevin Frazier will portray himself
in NBC’s new comedy series "Inside Schwartz." During each
episode, Frazier and Fox Sports cohort Van Earl Wright will analyze
Adam Schwartz’ (Breckin Meyer) personal and professional actions in
the segment "Inside Schwartz."
As a veteran anchor for the sports network, Frazier began
his sports career as an assistant basketball coach at Morgan State University,
where he graduated from college. While at Morgan State, Frazier worked
with his father Nathaniel, who was head coach of the basketball team.
After leaving Baltimore, Frazier worked as a sports reporter for WXIX-TV
in Cincinnati, WBFF-TV in Baltimore and WCBD-TV in Charleston, South
Carolina, before moving to Los Angeles.
In 1995, Frazier joined the FX Network, co-hosting "The
FX Sports Show." In 1996, he anchored the inaugural episode of
"Fox Sports News" (now "National Sports Report"),
where he continues as the main anchor. In addition, Frazier also hosts
the pre-game show "College Football Saturday."
As a reporter on "National Sports Report," Frazier
has covered all major sports events including the NBA Finals and the
NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four. In addition, he has filled in as a
sideline reporter for the "NFL on Fox" game telecasts and
as host on the pre-game shows for "NFL on Fox" and "NHL
on Fox." Most recently, Frazier was a featured regular on "The
X-Show."
When not in front of the camera, Frazier is an active
member of the Los Angeles inner city community, where he teaches a media
course at Dorsey High School. Frazier resides in Los Angeles with his
wife Andrea. His birthday is May 20.
