ACM Award Nominations

Faith
Hill snared six nominations in this year's Academy of Country Music
Awards. Hill, whose breakthrough album "Faith" has crossed
over to the pop charts, was nominated for entertainer of the year,
album of the year, top female vocalist, along with best single,
song and video for the tune "This Kiss."

She also
shared a nomination with her husband Tim McGraw. They got a nod
for Vocal Event of the Year for their duet "Just To Hear You
Say That You Love Me." Hill has already won five CMA's--four
of them last year.The rest of the nominations were evenly arranged.
Garth Brooks, Steve Wariner and Brooks And Dunn received four nominations,
while The Dixie Chicks, Tim McGraw, George Strait, Shania Twain,
Martina McBride, Jo Dee Messina and the Wilkinsons each picked up
three.
Besides
Hill, other nominees for Entertainer of the Year were Twain, Brooks,
Brooks and Dunn and Strait. Other nominees for album of the year
were The Dixie Chicks, Garth Brooks, Jo Dee Messina and George Strait.
Top female
vocalists nominees are Trisha Yearwood, McBride, Twain and Messina.
Top male nominees are Strait, Brooks, Vince Gill, Mcgraw and Collin
Raye.
The awards
will be given out May 5th at the Universal Amphitheater and will
be broadcast live on CBS.
